The matric class of 2019 is entering one of the most challenging and arguably most important times of their lives – their final school examinations.
Debbie Schäfer, Western Cape Minister of Education said that the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is committed to supporting the National Senior Certificate (NSC) students in every possible way to pass matric and to achieve excellent results.
To help candidates to pass their matric, the WCED has created a special website to help candidates prepare for the examinations. Candidates can visit the website here at https://wcedonline.westerncape.gov.za/exams where they’ll find “Tips for Success”, advice from former achievers, exam timetable, bursary and study loan information and past papers and memos.
The importance of practising exam questions cannot be emphasised enough.
This is why the WCED has made past exam papers available to all learners. Candidates should use their June examination results as an indication of what their strong and weaker subjects are.
There is also a wide range of matric revision videos on the WCED YouTube channel.
These provide guidance mainly on how to tackle specific questions in the exam.
