Strawberry season is in full bloom but not as rosy as previous years. Local strawberry farmer Deonette Bourbon-Leftley said that due to the abnormally wet winter, strawberry and other fruit farmers have suffered huge losses. She said she herself lost hectares of strawberry fields on the banks of the Berg River when the river flooded, twice this year.
