It is an absolute disgrace to hear that the Democratic Alliance has rewarded the shamed Mayor of Paarl a golden handshake after he was kicked off the council through a motion of mistrust due to many charges of misconduct.
This is doing the Western Cape ruling party more harm than good, with many of their supporters astounded by this short-sighted decision and now looking elsewhere to draw their crosses on 29 May, me included.
It just goes to show that politics is a crooked game played by a bunch reflecting this description.
