Swing sensation, Andre & the Swingers will be performing
all your favourite jazz standards in this family friendly online concert.
You
can look forward to songs such as Moondance, Fever, Somewhere over the rainbow,
Mack the knife, as well as Walking in Memphis, You’ve got a friend in me and
even Afrikaans classics like Namakwaland and Kaapse Draai. Special guest
artists Marlie Katzke and Kyle Seconna will join in on the fun with duets like
Something Stupid and In die Skadu van Ou Tafelberg. This talented group of
seasoned musicians will not only take you on a trip down memory lane, but will
present a program so diverse and fresh, the whole family will sing along.
André & the Swingers came to life in 2014, drawing from
the members’ shared love of jazz standards and modern swing renditions of
popular music. Lead by singer/actor André Terblanché, their vibrant and
accessible style has made them very popular as a live music act at special
events and festivals. Band members include Pieter van Helslandt (piano),
Sibusiso Matsemela (double bass), Rikus Coetzee (saxophone & clarinet) and
Kris Smit (drums).
Tickets cost R100 and can be purchased via Webtickets at
