Cure Day Hospitals Paarl, one of the 12 hospitals within the Cure Day Hospitals Group, recently donated 100 pairs of recycled school shoes to Dal Josaphat Primary School.

The 100 pairs of shoes are part of more than 1 300 pairs of recycled school shoes that Cure Day Hospitals have gathered for underprivileged learners in the communities they serve.

The significant donation made by Cure Day Hospitals Paarl, one of the 12 hospitals within the Cure Day Hospitals Group, made a difference in the lives of the Dal Josaphat Primary School learners, who received these shoes. The aim is to ensure learners from the community have the essentials they need to attend school with dignity and confidence.

“At Cure Day Hospitals, our commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond health care,” said Mmamoko Lamola, Group Human Resources Manager. “By donating these shoes we hope to provide much-needed support to learners, helping them focus on their education without the worry of lacking basic necessities. This initiative is just one of the many ways we are giving back to the communities in which we operate, striving to uplift and empower those in need.”

Liezl Muller, Marketing and PR Manager of Cure Day Paarl Hospital, said the hospital believes every small act of kindness can create a ripple effect, making a significant difference in the lives of many. She said its goal is to continue working hand-in-hand with local communities, contributing to its well-being and development.
