For the first time in 15 years, international polo returns to Val de Vie Estate and the Western Cape. On Saturday 15 November 2025 the Standard Bank Polo Test Match will see South Africa take on England, reigniting one of the sport’s greatest rivalries, this time on the polo field.
Rivals take to the polo field
Long-standing foes on rugby pitches and cricket grounds, the two nations now face off on a field where speed, precision and horsemanship decide the day. With Volvo as Presenting Partner, Pommery as Champagne Partner and Stella Artois as Beer Partner, and chart-topping South African band GoodLuck as the main entertainment act, the event promises an unforgettable blend of sport and hospitality.
