Paarl police are on the hunt for six men linked to the cash-in-transit robbery of a Fidelity vehicle in the Denneburg area in Paarl on Monday 29 July.
Paarl police spokesperson Capt Louise du Plessis said the Fidelity vehicle was robbed of approximately R400 000 in cash outside the premises of a local liquor store. “It is alleged the complainant had exited the premises after retrieving a money bag, and on exiting the suspects fired gunshots at the complainant and the Fidelity vehicle.
“The suspects subsequently grabbed bags containing approximately R400 000 cash and fled the scene on foot, and then allegedly climbed into an unidentified vehicle. No injuries were sustained by the complainant.”
