Various historical buildings in the heart of Paarl are undergoing rejuvenation. The previous home of the Picardie Hotel on the corner of Main Street and Zion Street, which now houses shops and apartments. has been newly painted. So too has the nearby old age home of Huis Vergenoegd. And a welcome renovation which is nearing completion is the old block of flats on the corner of Templier Street and Main Road which is being entirely revamped into four high apartments.Photos: Lise Beyers
