WELLINGTON – Eskom on Thursday (30 October) confirmed theft and vandalism had caused a power-supply interruption affecting Wellington and Antoniesvlei in the Drakenstein municipal area.

The power utility, in a statement, said technicians were on site and additional resources were being brought in due to the extent of the infrastructure damage.

Eskom said the estimated time for restoration had not yet been determined.

The utility apologised for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience.
