Don your purple and white outfits, round-up your friends, and secure your tickets for the 2023 Pinotage and Biltong Festival at the Allée Bleue Wine Estate on 29 and 30 July from 11:00-16:00.

The 18 wineries will present some 30 different Pinotage wines, available for tasting and to purchase. The wines showcased are produced in different styles, from White Pinotage to Bubbly, Rosé, traditional red Pinotage and even a Port-style wine, all created from this truly South African varietal. Each winery will present at least one wine, which will be paired with one of nine types of biltong and dry wors, by OMG Biltong.

Ticket holders will have the opportunity to taste Pinotage from Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Rawsonville, Paarl, Worcester and Wellington, all under one roof, in Allée Bleue’s “Grand Hall”! Participating wineries are: Allée Bleue, Beyerskloof Wines, Boland Cellar, Diemersfontein Wines, Doolhof Estate, Du Toitskloof Wines, Groenland Wines, Hill & Dale, Hoopenburg Wines, Kanu Wines, Simonsvlei International, Koelenhof Wine Cellar, Leopard’s Leap Wines, Mellasat Vineyards, Neethlingshof Estate, Organic wines by Sophie Germanier, Overhex Wines and Perdeberg Cellar. The nine types of biltong are: Yellow Fat, Caravan Smokey, Free Range Dry Wors, Lean Kalahari, Springbok, Lemon Pepper, Venison Dry Wors, Kudu and Hunters Chilli.

Food vendors, hosted by Allée Bleue Estate, will include one of Franschhoek’s favourite foodies, Let’s Frite, serving their gourmet burgers. Other food items available will include a variety of pizzas, and cheese and meat platters. All food offerings will be available on a non-cash basis.

Guy Feldman and his band, duly named Mista Guy and The Biltong Band, will ensure this Allée Bleue experience in the Winelands is remembered. Come dressed in purple and white, and stand a chance to win one of various spot prices.
