Chess enjoyed a most successful weekend. A record number of 22 boys participated in the Central Cape Winelands trials in Wellington.
Paarl Boys’ High School took home three medals. Furthermore, they achieved a total of eight top positions in the u-15 and u-18 sections. Paul Roos Gymnasium, their closest rival, managed to achieve only four positions.
PBHS delivered 15 players with an percentage grading above 880, meaning they qualify for the next round.u-15
