Members of the public are invited to nominate people to participate in the election of new ward committee members.
It is the intention of Drakenstein Municipality that ward committee members actively engage, promote and be the link with residents. Therefore, the newly elected ward committee members for the term 2021-’26 will serve as an advisory body to the ward councillor on ward-prioritised service delivery focus areas.
Nomination forms are available on the municipal website (www.drakenstein.gov.za), all municipal libraries, the Paarl Civic Centre, Wellington Municipal Office, Gouda Municipal Office, Saron Municipal Office, and Paarl East and Mbekweni Thusong Centres and Housing Offices. Nomination requirements and submission details are included on the forms.
Duly completed and signed forms must be submitted by no later than 12:00 on 3 February.
