Trail runners and wine enthusiasts are in for a treat at the Wine Adventure Trail Run, set to take place at Warwick Wine Estate near Klapmuts on Sunday, 6 April.
Hosted by Sportsmans Warehouse, this exhilarating event offers two scenic routes—6.25km and 10.5km—through the exclusive Dirtopia trails, boasting breathtaking views of the Simonsberg mountains.
A unique highlight of the course is a wine tasting station en route, ensuring participants enjoy a blend of sport and Stellenbosch’s finest vintages.The route presents a dynamic mix of vineyard jeep track and singletrack trails winding through neighbouring farms, offering an authentic trail experience suited for both novice and experienced runners.
Families are welcome, with children and walkers encouraged to take on the shorter route.Post-run festivities promise a lively atmosphere, with all participants receiving medals and having the chance to win exciting prizes.

And then on 11 April nature lovers can immerse themselves in a breathtaking evening adventure at the Sunset to Full Moon Hike at Muratie Wine Estate between Paarl and Stellenbosch.T
This picturesque 3.5km circular hike leads to a stunning lookout point, offering panoramic views of Simonsberg, Table Mountain, and the surrounding Winelands. The event is perfectly timed to capture the sunset at 18:26 and the moonrise at 17:39, creating a truly magical experience.Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic, blanket, and torch to enjoy the serene atmosphere.
To add to the experience, Muratie wines will be available at the lookout point, and a coffee station will remain open until 19:30. The return journey meanders through a tranquil forest under the soft glow of the full moon, making for an unforgettable adventure.
Entry fees are R130 for adults and R65 for children under 10.
