The Plaashek Farmers Market is held each month at the Oude Wellington Brandy & Wine Estate outside Wellington. Here is Peter Hartogh with his renowned succulent plants, which are planted in recycled materials. The next market is on Saturday 8 June, from 09:00 to 16:00. Expect a relaxed atmosphere in a stunning farm-style setting, where you can hear the birds singing. Browse through stalls offering fresh vegetables, fresh eggs, olives and olive oil, freshly baked farm bread, home-baked cakes and biscuits. Wacky cupcakes, pancakes, rooties, quiches, home-made pies and pastries and other home-baked goodies, sweet treats, thirst quenchers. Bring the children along to play on the jungle gym, challenge your friends to a game of table tennis or play a set of chess with the whole family on the giant chess board.Foto:
