Drakenstein Judo Club is proud of its judokas who participated in the South African Judo Championships in Bloemfontein in July. The competition was very tough this year and the young judokas performed very well. The Drakenstein judoka, behind (from left), are Melina Cocolaras (2nd place in the 12 Years, -57 kg Advanced), Lee Burger (2nd place in the Group 3, -44 kg Advanced), Heinrich Slabber (2nd place in the Group 3, -55 kg Advanced), Alecia Esterhuizen (5th place in the Group 3, -52 kg Advanced), Jonathan Sander (2nd place 12 years category, -60 kg Advanced) and Katie Cubitt (2nd place in the Group 4, -70 kg advanced).
