Tatum Kirchner, a learner at Huguenot Primary School, is member of the champion u-12 chess team of South Africa. Although she is only u-10, she was a member of the u-12 Cape Winelands Girls A Team which recently competed at the South African Junior Chess Championships in Johannesburg. Tatum’s team walked away victoriously when they were crowned as the national winners in their category.
