The Komesho Shellhole is again hosting their annual golf day on Thursday 19 September to raise funds.

Our mission is to continuously support our fellow comrades in need by whatever means possible, and to pay our respect to all servicemen who have answered the Sunset Call, both in war and peace time.

80% of our net income is donated to a MOTH institution and 20% to local charity organisation(s).

During the past year we made donations to MESCA (MOTH Ex- Servicemen’s Cottage Association), the Cinder City Shellhole, Port Shepstone for a new museum to preserve heritage and regalia, the (new) Pro Patria Shellhole in Durbanville and the Dug Hurst Educational Fund. A donation to the local Hospice is following during the next week.

We invite your readers to participate in the golf day in either playing and/or sponsorship.

A 4-ball will be R2 800 (per team) and R1 500 per waterhole.

The cost for a 4-ball will include green fees, a dinner and prizes.

This year we also have a cash prize of R100 000 for the 1st hole-in-1 of the day (*R50 entry fee).
