On the eve of another adventure, the long awaited book by Wellington explorer and photographer Johan Dempers, Journey through Many Worlds, will be launched at Willowbridge Shopping Centre, Durbanville on Saturday 12 August at 10:00.
This exciting book documents some of Dempers’ travels and adventures, such as his Andes to Amazon expedition. There are also stories told for the first time, about Dempers in Iraq, Angola and Afghanistan. The book is illustrated with his beautiful photography.
Funds generated by the sale of the book will go towards his new adventure “Expedition Amazon 2017”. The foreword was written by Eeben Barlow, former lieutenant colonel in the South African Special Forces and founder of Executive Outcomes. Dempers and his team will depart for the Amazon basin on 16 August. He will also appear on SABC2 “Fokus” that will be broadcasted on Sunday, 13 August at 18:00.
