Commuters on the R44 were treated to quite a spectacle last Wednesday morning when they spotted a rare sight of a Buccaneer aircraft by the side of the road ‘stretching it’s wings’. The Buccaneer was being transported 1 075km to Gqeberha to undergo maintenance before it takes to the skies again. The aircraft was designed in the 1950s and was one of the largest aircraft to operate from British aircraft carriers. Photo: Pierre-Jean Gerber
