A family from Wellington was robbed of some valuable items this past weekend when robbers invaded their house.
According to WO Nceba Vanqa, spokesperson for the Winelands district police cluster, the incident happened early on Saturday evening (24 February) in Stormberg Street.
“According to the complainant, he and his wife and minor children were inside the house. He heard people at the back of the house, and then the suspects kicked the door open. He went out at the front side of the house, but went back to get his wife and children. He then saw four males. They had knives and said to him they are looking for him.”
Vanqa added that the suspects stole an amplifier and a 5 kg gas bottle to the value of R3 550. A house robbery case has been opened and is being investigated.
