Are you looking for a nice family day out in the countryside, enjoying fine home-made goods, foods and local drinks?

Then head out to Wellington this weekend for some farm market fun.

Kick off your shoes at Oude Wellington on the Bainskloof Pass Road, switch off your phone and enjoy every moment of fresh farm air, where the focus is on organic, local and lekker! Here you will also meet talented locals and their beautiful hand-crafted products while you mingle with people who are passionate about art, animals, the environment, nature and, of course, great food and music… even our live music is home-grown!

Bring the kids to enjoy pony rides (pre-book with Jayne 079 650 9648), outdoor games and face painting, while you sip on local wine, brandy, gin and beer, coffee in a tin mug or freshly squeezed orange juice. Delight your taste buds with delicious fare made from local ingredients, artisanal food, farm style breakfast and potjiekos, the sauciest burger ever and John’s famous bitterballen, pork belly or eisbein. And don’t forget all the sweet treats as well.

. Then at Arauna Farm, next to Linton Park, the Plaashek Market takes place with delicious goodies and hand-crafted goods on sale.

Tasting of Linton Park wines, a beer garden, hamburgers and boerewors rolls, radio-controlled toys, drones and aircraft will keep dad busy.

The vintage shop at the venue offers a walk down memory lane and serves delicious scones and tea under the oaks.

Both markets take place on Saturday 29 June from 09:00 until late afternoon.
