It is Global Climate Change Week from 12 – 18 October and the Green School, situated in Simondium will be hosting various activities.

On Saturday 15 October from 08:00 to 13:00 they host a Green Cars and Homes Expo. At the expo, there will be a panel-discussion on solar energy systems for small and larger systems that can serve home owners and business owners: discussing how solar panels work, inverters and batteries – the costs, technology developments, regulatory environment and long term maintenance requirements of these systems.

There will also be exhibitions of electric and hybrid cars, bikes, scooters and bicycles: Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Porsche and Ferrari will exhibit their electric or hybrid cars, with Cake Bikes showcasing electrical bikes and scooters and Specialised and Trek bringing their electrical bicycles.

A presentation will also be given by the school’s architects and interior designer to share the challenges and successes experienced in building an award-winning sustainable campus.

The event is free to the public and to keep the event’s carbon footprint low, everyone who cycles to the expo will receive a free cappucino.
