Attention all Grade 12 learners with no plans for 2024! Here’s your chance to secure one of 20 bursaries for national diplomas at Agri Skills Transfer. All you need to do is upload a TikTok, Instagram or Facebook video starting with “Dear Food For Mzansi”.
By doing so you could embark on a two-year online agriculture-related qualification, offered by Agri Skills Transfer from anywhere in the country, eliminating additional financial burdens for families.
Agri Skills Transfer, an AgriSETA-accredited training provider, offers three programmes: plant production, animal production and the new agricultural sales and services diploma. Thanks to the Food For Mzansi and Agri Skills Transfer scholarships, your studies are covered for the entire two years. The initiative aims to empower rural communities by providing access to quality agricultural education, bridging the gap between education and rural development.
Shaun Welmans, COO of Agri Skills Transfer, emphasised that these bursaries, worth R1,6 million, enable students to pursue their educational dreams while equipping them with essential knowledge and skills for their rural environments, which are vital hubs for food production in the country.
Ivor Price, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Food For Mzansi, expressed his excitement about transforming dreams into reality through this initiative. The bursary campaign not only provides specialised education, but also equips learners with hands-on skills, enhancing local farming practices and contributing to food security.
Agri Skills Transfer believes in cultivating a skilled workforce that can drive innovation, bolster food security and contribute to economic growth in their regions. By empowering students with knowledge, they become catalysts for positive change, bringing modern techniques and sustainable farming methods back to their communities.
