Paarl, which is home to some of the best mountain-bike trails in South Africa, has become a must-visit region for cyclists when in the Western Cape.
Over the past five years Paarl Trails has developed a world-class network of more than 230 km of trails that traverse over 50 properties on and around Paarl Mountain.
The trail network has become a key tourist attraction for the region and has been a catalyst for many venues and attractions remoulding their offerings to cater for this growing adventure tourist market.
Bike festivals are not a new concept and are successfully presented in many countries around the world. They attract thousands of locals and tourists, who enjoy a variety of activities and entertainment.
Paarl has such an amazing sports culture, and combined with the terrain and trails we believe it’s the perfect area to host our very own bike festival.
On 3-5 March 2023 Paarl will host the first Bike Festival-Paarl, presented by the Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, Drakenstein Municipality and Paarl Trails.
The weekend will be packed with a variety of activities for the entire family, and these include:. A Range of Different Mountain Bike races . A Range of E-bike Races. Kiddies races . A Bike Expo that will house some of the latest products and gear . Bike Test and Demo area where you can experience the latest bikes in the market. A wide variety of Food and amazing Wine from Rhebokskloof . A host of off-the-bike activities and entertainment.
