Paarl police would like to take this opportunity to inform the community about the functions performed at the Flash department at Police Stations.
The Flash department assists with the following:
. New and renewal firearm applications. Safe inspections after submission of application for a firearm. New and renewal competency applications. Temporary and permanent import and export permit applications for firearms. Transfer of firearms to dealers . Collection of firearm and competency licences once an SMS has been received by the applicant.
Costs involved for the above applications are processed at the financial office at the relevant Saps offices and may only be paid in cash.. R168 for new firearm application (per firearm). R84 for the renewal of firearm (per firearm). R84 for all forms of competency applications. R168 for permanent exporting of a firearm – no costs are involved in the temporary exporting of firearms to Namibia. R84 for a duplicate firearm licence if lost or stolen. R60 for a replacement of a green licence card. R84 for a replacement of a white licence card

08:00 to 13:00 and 13:30 to 15:00 from a Monday to Friday.
