Paarl Girls’ High School dominated the 32nd annual 4M Athletics Meeting with an unprecedented 578-point performance, securing their third consecutive title at Coetzenburg Athletics Stadium last week. The defending champions outpaced their nearest rivals, Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof, by a record margin of 206 points.

The prestigious inter-school competition, hosted this year by Rhenish Girls’ High School as part of their 165th anniversary celebrations, saw four of the Boland region’s top girls’ schools compete for athletic supremacy.

Bloemhof claimed second place with 372 points, followed by La Rochelle Girls’ High School with 275 points, while hosts Rhenish finished fourth with 145 points.

The convincing victory cements Paarl Girls’ High’s position as the powerhouse of Boland school athletics, with their third straight title marking the most dominant performance in the event’s history. Attention now turns to the upcoming 4M Gala, scheduled for 25 February at Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof, where the schools will continue their sporting rivalry in the pool.
