I find it very disturbing that Paarl is starting to look like a dogs breakfast.
Rubbish is piling up right in front of the eyes of the municipal head office in open spaces in Berg River Boulevard, pavements are covered in weeds and have not been attended to in months. And why are street lights in the Boulevard burning day in and day out for the last month or so, all at taxpayers’ expense?
This is in stark contrast to the weeks leading up to the elections in May, when municipal workers were seen cleaning up Paarl. Now these efforts have fallen by the wayside and the town is now everything but one of excellence!
