A 29-year-old Nigerian foreign national was arrested during an integrated operation held by Paarl East and Mbekweni police last week. The suspect appeared in the Paarl Magistrates’ Court on Monday on charges of possession of illegal drugs after police found varying amounts of tik, Mandrax and cocaine. Police spokesperson WO Nceba Vanqa said seven premises notorious for dealing in drugs were searched in addition to seven vehicles and 23 people.In total, drugs to the value of R188 647 were seized as well as cash amounting to R19 380.
