The average shopper these days cannot tell the difference between a customer or an armed robber following a business robbery in Lady Grey Street, Paarl last Saturday (10 June).

This comes after four men robbed a fast food outlet over the previous weekend in Lady Grey Street at about 19:50.

According to Paarl police spokesperson, Captain Louise du Plessis, four men are currently being sought for questioning in relation to the incident.

She said: “The four suspects entered the shop and browsed through the menu, and then left the premises only to come back in and one of the suspects wielded a firearm and demanded the customers and workers go into the kitchen area.”

The men then robbed the customers and staff of their cellphones and an estimated R7 000 in cash. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

Anyone with information should contact the Paarl police on 082 469 1431 or 021 807 4015.
