One of the hottest happenings in the Winelands takes place soon, right on the doorstep of Paarl.
The Clash of the Chefs returns this year to Dawn Mountains Estate on the R45 in Simondium on 16 September at 12:00. The Clash promises to be a fun packed day again, full of delicious food and wines.
Guests get up-close and personal with the chefs from Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch, while the chefs prepare a yummy harvest style lunch.
The chefs will compete in the cook-off with a mystery basket to determine who will be the Champion Chef Team.
The current confirmed chefs are:
Chef Kyle Norris: Le Franschhoek Hotel, Franschhoek
Chef Xander van Niekerk: De Volkskombuis, Stellenbosch
Chef Linda Trautmann: The Manor Nederburg, Paarl
Chef Keanu Slinger: Lust, Vrede en Lust, Klapmuts
This event has within five years raised more than R1 million for charity. This years chosen charities are Safe Hands Animal Rescue Franschhoek and Rusoord Old Age Home in Paarl.

Joan-Anne Harris from Southern Stroll Marketing started the Clash of the Chefs seven years ago to give local chefs and restaurants good exposure to the perfect target market, while raising funds for local charities.
