The staff and learners of the Frank Pietersen Music Centre are excited to at last be able to hold its first Christmas concert since pre-Covid times.

This yearly event is the one learners always look forward to. It brings young and old, beginners and advanced learners to make music together and celebrate Christmas and the end of the year in a festive occasion.

The concert takes place on Friday 9 December at 18:00 in the quad at the back of the centre. Entry is free but donations are very welcome. The concert is in the form of a picnic concert. There will be tables and chairs set out for people who want to bring a picnic basket.

The first half will be Christmas music performed by the various ensembles and bands of the music centre. The second half will be more serious, with the choir and soloists performing Christmas favourites interspersed with carols for the audience to sing along to, accompanied by a massed orchestra.
