The Boland Cavaliers will be looking to keep their winning momentum going in their SuperSport Rugby Challenge campaign when they host Zimbabwe at the Boland Stadium on Saturday.

Randall Modiba’s (head coach) team has only lost once in the SRC (away against the Sharks in Durban) and have been playing a highly entertaining brand of rugby.

Modiba will once again rely heavily on the experience up front of captain Marlyn Williams (lock), Tapiwa Tsomondo (flanker) and hooker Neil Rautenbach while Thurlow Marsh (number eight) may well get his first start for the Cavaliers as Patrick O’Brien is struggling with an injury.

In the backline Garrick Mattheus (flyhalf) has been in a rich vein of form while speedsters Valentino Wellman and Shilton van Wyk (wings) will be looking to add to their already impressive try-tallies.

The match against Zimbabwe will kick off at 14:00 and will be followed by the derby between Hillcrest and Roses.

The remaining fixture for the Supersport Rugby Challenge in which the Boland Cavaliers is competing is on Sunday 9 June when the Cavaliers take on Western Province at Florida Park.
