The South African Council for Businesswomen (SACBW) launched a Careers Day initiative for the youth of Paarl. Held last Tuesday (6 May) at Boland Cricket Stadium, the event was very successful. Almost 500 Grade 11 learners from various community schools attended. They had the opportunity to engage with a variety of businesses, which assisted them in refining their ideas of how they wished to leave their mark on the world of work, and particularly the business world. SACBW Cape Winelands believes in educating, empowering and embracing youth as the future of the business world. Pictured are learners from Klein Nederburg Secondary, who learnt about marketing and sales from Ilde Meyer (far right), founder of Paarl Pals and marketer of the Drakenstein Chamber of Commerce. The learners were accompanied by Caureen Small (far left), a Klein Nederburg teacher.
