Owing to a high crime rate of sexual offences in Mbekweni committed against children of school going age, the Mbekweni Police Station – in partnership with Molo Songololo – decided to reach out to the learners. They ran an awareness project for Langabuya Primary School’s Grade 6 and 7 learners in the Mbekweni Community Hall, so children will be aware of their rights, victim empowerment and sexual offences.
