Horses And Dogs At The Show:
Today is Show Day in the Boland with the opening of the Boland Agricultural Show at Paarl. One of the features of the programme this week will be a demonstration by dogs at the Club for German Shepherd Dogs, which has 462 members. The dogs are trained to international rules and their handlers will be dressed in international colours. Dogs which will be seen in action are Ajax, first rescue dog in South Africa, belonging to Mrs. Becker-Lang, of Parow; and Loker, first South African military dog, owned by Mrs. Hilton Roberts, of Clifton. Since November these dogs have been used for protection services at soccer matches in which Cape Town City and Hellenic have played and at the Cape Show at Goodwood.
Kragdrade is afgeruk.
Racing Bicycle In Smash:
Two accidents occurred at Paarl yesterday in one of which V. Gabela was knocked down by a car and injured.
Mr. Raymond de Vries was injured at the weekend when his racing cycle collided with a car. He was taken to hospital.
