The admissions process for the 2023 school year is still underway, says the Western Cape Education Department (WCED).
Bronagh Hammond, a spokesperson for the department, says Western Cape MEC for Education David Maynier will soon make an announcement.
She said schools are required to submit the admission list for next year to the WCED by 30 September.
“Between 11 October and 15 December districts are to liaise with schools on placement of learners, where space is seen to be available,” Hammond said. “Schools need to finalise promotion and progression numbers between 12 and 15 December.”
Schools close on 15 December for the end-of-year school holidays.
